About The Project
The Family, Housing, and Me (FHAM) Project is a long-term study conducted by UC Riverside and Trinity University and funded by the National Science Foundation. The project follows young LGBTQ+ people from South Texas and California’s Inland Empire as they transition into adulthood.

The FHAM project began in January 2022. Its goal is to understand young adults’ changing relationships with their whole family and housing. This will add to existing research about what contributes to a sense of safety in LGBTQ youths’ lives.
Participate
The FHAM Project is offering up to $200 in compensation for participating in the project, involving a series of voluntary surveys and interviews over 14 months.

The surveys recruit participants to join our research project that focuses on people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, non-binary, or other similar identities.
